Cello! I love the warm dark brown color it adds to the sound–so rich, unattainable by electric instruments. Great job Charissa, especially for your first time playing with the band. Hope it wasn't too intimidating, and that it was a good time of exercising your gifts for the purpose of worship for you. Excellent mixing in with the different songs, contemporary, rock, or traditional style. Very versatile!

Made Me Glad – So full of voices and harmonies! Great job all around, it sounds so good and worshipful. I wonder how it sounded in the house, and how those in the congregation reacted? If they were encouraged and pressed on to praise God?

The transition and combining of I Will Rise and Worthy Is The Lamb was a great idea. Phil, as usual, you steep your heart in the Word it is ready to speak from the Spirit when it is time, and it always shows in excellent exhortation and encouragement to the congregation to worship.

Piano and cello combination for In Christ Alone was very rich, especially with the multiple vocals. Again, when you have the time to do so, make sure you work and clarify entrances and endings of phrases. Those small details start sticking out when its very bare, and you have more vocalists. Small nitpick, I know…

I'll make one or two of these into single tracks.

Hello. I have a final in 30 minutes. I was feeling extremely stressed, overwhelmed, burdened, unprepared, and all the negative adjectives you can think of before a test.

This set was such a blessing that Thursday we practiced, the Sunday we led, and today, just as i am about to take my exam :o ) There is just something about God's word that gives you peace, and this set def did it for me :o ) Great timing, posting this up right before I have to take my final lol.

Even listening to it now. I was just thinking about how nothing matters to me. Law school has become so obsolete in my mind. I LONG for the joy that comes from just worshiping him -nothing else, nothing else. I really appreciated the transitions that Phil gave between the songs, especially the intro. GOOD JOB Charissa! So proud of you. It was awesome! Thank you worship team for being iron that sharpens iron -being Brothers & Sisters that help draw me back to Jesus.

What you ladies said reminds me of my final semester of undergrad….4 final projects all due on the same Friday. And all I could think about was wanting to get to IV large group to be part of leading worship with my brothers and sisters.
